James Wallace Heritage Society
Membership in the James Wallace Heritage Society is open to those who have made provision for future support of the college in an estate plan or through a life income or other planned gift. The Heritage Society was chartered in 1989 to recognize and pay tribute to those benefactors and to celebrate their generosity.
The College extends to Heritage Society members some measure of its appreciation: a bowl created by Macalester Professor Gary Erickson, whose work is on display in the Smithsonian; an invitation to an annual reception and dinner at which you will meet and talk with current students; a special newsletter discussing current financial and estate planning ideas; and inclusion in the annual membership roster (unless you request otherwise). The college also makes special efforts to keep Heritage Society members informed of developments at the college and to invite them to key events.
